Spellbook Demonslayers: Enemies Can Now Close the Gap in Oblivion Update

Spellbook Demonslayers Xendra

Developer Xendra dropped a new patch for Spellbook Demonslayer and it's a huge one. The Oblivion update not only adds new mechanics, but also improves the enemy AI to make things more interesting.

Enemies in Spellbook Demonslayers will now dash toward you in the Oblivion update. What's more, buffed elite demons have the ability to shoot at you while they're dashing, so be sure to eliminate them asap.

Previously, enemies would only spawn off the screen. But now, they can spawn directly on the map. Don't worry, a warning message will tell you where they will appear so that you can prepare yourself for the impending attack.

To help you survive during a run, stronger enemies will now drop orbs that instantly restore your health and mana when picked up.

Patch Notes

Spellbook Passives

  • Tammy
    • Passive 1: Adds a +7% Critical Multiplier bonus onto every Shrine, which improves with Buff Effect. Particularly good with String of Ears!
    • Passive 2: Now also adds a 13% chance to get 3 upgrades from treasure chests. There is also a summonable demon that allows you to spawn treasure chests, working nicely with this effect.
  • Speare
    • Speare is stronger than you'd think on first glance, but is missing a bit of juice and early game. Her starter bonus has been upgraded to also have Spell Projectile Amount +1.
  • Wolfe
    • Passive 2: Now also reduces Aura Evolution level requirement by 25%.
  • Jeane
    • Passive 1: Now grants a 7% HP bonus per revive instead of flat +7 HP.
    • Passive 2: Now also adds a 50% chance to duplicate buffs stolen from Elites.
  • Astrid
    • Passive 1: This passive gives +3% damage for each Astral Flower gained. This has been indirectly buffed because you gain Astral Flowers at a much faster pace in this update.
  • Berry
    • Passive 1: Chance to remain at the same level on levelup increased from 10% to 13%.
    • Passive 2: Buff effect per collected treasure chest increased from 2% to 3%. It is also now possible to spawn more treasure chests than before due to Demon Summoning.
  • Sly
    • Passive 1: Now also converts 50% of Movement Speed into Critical Chance.
  • Eden
    • Starter Spell: Fixed a bug where Shadow Mine and Reaper Mine were not being affected by any damage bonuses.
