PAYDAY 2 Devs Fixed a Ton of "Crude Awakening Heist" Issues

Crude Awakening Heist Overkill

Developers of the action-packed co-op shooter PAYDAY 2 have resolved a myriad of issues that plagued the newly released heist, Crude Awakening.

Crude Awakening is a new heist in PAYDAY 2 where players are contracted by Blaine Keegan to assassinate SERA's chief of security, Gabriel Santiago. Even though Crude Awakening is fun, it suffered from several issues on release. Fortunately, developers squashed a number of bugs in Update 238.1.

A major bug that caused interactions with the pipe puzzle to de-sync has been resolved. Furthermore, players who opt to "stealth trigger" the meltdown sequence will no longer encounter cops around catwalks.

Some fixes were applied to the base game as well. For instance, a crash that would occur when a player entered a driving state has been fixed. On top of that, using the High Value Target skill on SWAT turrets will no longer cause the game to crash.

  • Fixed a crash on the Dragon Heist and other similar heists where players were forced out of vehicles

General

  • Fixed an issue with client players being untargetable by cloakers and tasers after dropping in. The same goes for bag drop points when client players leave while carrying a bag.
  • Marshal units will now spawn faster in Hostile Takeover and Crude Awakening Heist, to match midland ranch & Lost in Transit.
  • Fixed an issue where the "Texas Treasures" suit remained locked after finishing the achievement and not owning the DLC.
  • Fixed an issue where players swapping weapons in a vehicle would stand up straight.
  • Updated how the FOV is handled when in a vehicle. Will use vehicle FOV while not being able to shoot, then use vehicle FOV as a base, adding in players' FOV settings and zoom.
