A new tournament is happening next week in Smite, and it's one that fans are sure to be excited about. That's because the Masters of Slash event is a content creator invitational tournament. It not only rewards streamers and their communities with in-game goodies but also subscriptions on Twitch.

The teams participating are composed of one Smite content partner who then picks four members of their community to help them. By the way, no team is allowed to have more than one former or current SPL player. The good news is that coaches and managers don't count as SPL players.

The tournament is divided between Europe and North America with each region fighting for a prize pool of over 12,000 gems and 45 gifted subscriptions. Teams play up to six rounds in a Swiss-style tournament with one point awarded for each match won. The team that gets the most points wins the event. In case of a tie, the admin team decides whether prizes are going to be split or a tie-breaker match played.

The matches start:

  • Europe
    • February 26 at 9:00 a.m. EST
  • North America
    • February 27 at 1:00 p.m. EST

You can view the list of teams in Europe here and North America here.
