The new DLC pack for Skater XL has finally been released on PC and Xbox One. The SXL Tampa Pro 2022 DLC Pack is the first DLC and it celebrates the first Skater XL Tampa Pro Esports Contest held last May 7.
In addition, all proceeds of the DLC are set to benefit Boards For Bros. This is the official charity partner of Skatepark of Tampa which refurbishes used skateboards and then donates them to underprivileged kids across the US.

Pro Esports Contest
The Skater XL Tampa Pro Esports Contest was held just a week after the real-world 28th Annual Tampa Pro skateboarding competition. This was the first time that an esports event completely recreated the experience of a traditional skateboarding contest.
Despite having only one day, the tournament featured 24 of the best Skater XL players. They competed on three platforms (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC) in a virtual re-creation of the iconic Tampa Pro event. The event was live-streamed on the official Skater XL Twitch Channel and was hosted by skateboarding YouTube creator Garrett Ginner.
Skater XL is the evolution of skateboarding gameplay with its Independent Foot Control System and unique physics-based gameplay. One thing that skate gamers are sure to love is the freedom of expression the game offers. That's because the physics-based controls don’t have any pre-programmed tricks. Instead, the only movement is through the thumbsticks. Each thumbstick is connected to the corresponding foot of the skater and as the player moves the stick, the board immediately responds.
Players should be happy to know as well that the game has real-life iconic locations. All the levels are inspired by real-world skate areas. Players can choose to play as real-life skate pros like Tiago Lemos, Brandon Westgate, Evan Smith, and Tom Asta. Players can also choose to customize their own characters by changing the look with different gear.
Skater XL is available for $39.99 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Steam.
