Sims Mobile announced that’s it’s launching a brand new live event next week. It’s titled Treasure Hunt and that should be enough to give you an idea of what’s going to happen. Expect some new activities and even some new rewards. Today we take a look at some of the details of this new live event.
For starters, once the Treasure Hunt event goes live there should be a map icon on the right-hand side of the game. From this map, players can choose Research and Investigation Events. Players can even visit Expedition Dig Sites.
To start the research, players need to check out the treasure map and go for the Research: Home Clue Hunt. The Sims then need to start researching and studying in order to get clues. Clues are a new and special resources that Sims need in order to search for treasure. There’s a cap on how many clues a player can store, so don’t forget to keep using them.
Investigation events, meanwhile, are going to take place at pre-existing venues around Briny Heights. Players need clues to start them and then must perform themed actions in order to get information on where the treasure could be. There’s going to be a mix of different Prize Tokens to find, like Ancient Relic Coins and even Simoleons.
There are also going to be Expedition events as well. These events require Sims to visit new archeology dig sites across town. Of course, it goes without saying that players need clues to start these events. With Expedition events, players take themed actions like digging for treasure and get rewarded with Golden Bunnies and Ancient Relics.
By the way, don’t forget to complete Smallfry’s Quest for Treasure. This not only unlocks new locations on the Treasure Map, but also comes with rewards like Clue Boosts, Ancient Relics, Golden Bunnies, and even a Unique Item.
Try out the Mini-Game
So what else does the Treasure Hunt event offer? There’s also going to be Smallfry’s Dig Site Mini-Game. To activate, simply open your map and visit an expedition dig site. There should be a Walkie Talkie action icon in the middle of the site.
Spend a Walkie Talkie and get a tip from Smallfry. His tip is going to show three possible dig locations, which are white circles on the map. Pick one, dig, and receive one of the rewards. Players get a Walkie Talkie every five hours and can store them up to a maximum of five at a time.
