A new expansion pack for Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters is launching on PC this July 25. Execution Force is the second major DLC and it will introduce four unique Assassin classes. This should give Force Commanders a new way to take on the new Tentarus Hive threat and put the forces of Nurgle at a disadvantage with the new Death Guard cruiser boarding missions. The new DLC is available for $14.99 on Steam and Epic Games Store.
In addition to the new DLC, a free new update is also coming out to introduce a new enemy patrol troop, the Tainted Sons, and three new enemies for the menagerie of Nurgle, which are the mutation-loving Plague Surgeon, the overwhelming Nurgling Swarm and the towering Beast of Nurgle. This update also allows Commanders to tackle new Warp Surge threats, thanks to the support of the Adeptus Mechanicus, providing new wargear options for outfitting squads.
New Assassins
For this new expansion, players can request the highly secretive organization Officio Assassinorum for highly skilled assassins from each of the game's four major temples. These assassins have trained dutifully in the art of executing even the deadliest of foes.
The four assassins are:
- Vindicare Assassin
- Can pick off enemies from a distance using powerful long-ranged weaponry.
- Eversor Assassin
- Symbolizes unrelenting fury and can defeat multiple targets at close range.
- Psykers
- Can disable immense psychic energies and create opportunities for allies to deal immense damage.
- Callidus Assassin
- Can sow confusion among enemy ranks and leave no trace as they strike from the darkest corners of the galaxy.
Force Commanders can deploy only one of each assassin within their squads. This should help them meet the newest threat creeping across the Tyrtaeus sector - Tentarus Hive.
When one of these missions appears on a planet, the corruption levels will rise in the host world unless they're eliminated. The threat level increases even further in vicious and intense new boarding missions. Here, players lead their forces into the heart of a pursuing enemy cruiser. It's a race against time to disable the power generators and destroy the vessel.
