2020 is a year of remakes and remasters, as we have gotten some amazing games like Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, and many more. Additionally, a few more games are coming in the future like Mafia 1 Definitive Edition, Crysis Remastered, and more. We may even be able to add one more, or should I say three more, games to the list.

According to several rumors, the entire Mass Effect Trilogy is being remastered. The leaks regarding the Mass Effect Remaster have been here for a while now. Even EA hinted at an unannounced remaster during the quarterly earnings report.

If the rumors are to be believed, then we could be playing Mass Effect Remaster in only a couple of months. The game is rumored to be announced next month and could release in October. I hope that the possible October release won’t change due to the ongoing pandemic.

We don’t know whether all three games will be released together or one by one. Keep in mind all of this is just a rumor and could be proven wrong, however, it seems unlikely. We hope that the remaster will make major graphical improvements and not just some lighting changes (looking at you Mafia 2). It is yet to be seen what kind of new technology will be used in the remasters. Will it have ray tracing, 4K textures, or uncapped FPS? We sincerely hope so.

All three Mass Effect games were released between 2007 and 2013. While most of the games received critical acclaim from both fans and critics, the ending of Mass Effect 3 was so divisive that BioWare's developers had to create a completely new ending. A sequel, Mass Effect Andromeda, was also released back in 2017, but received a mixed reception.

So what do you think? Are you interested in Mass Effect Trilogy Remaster? Or would you prefer a new entry in the franchise? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
