Happy Birthday! Psyonix

It’s another big milestone for Rocket League as it celebrates its seventh birthday. Enjoy two weeks of fun with Heatseeker, Knockout LTMs, Birthday Ball Challenges, and rewards. Players can also grab their hands on Anniversary outfits available in the Item Shop and the ultimate gift exchange, the Golden Eggs. The highlight is the new LTE known as Birthday Ball.

Looking back, a lot has happened since Rocket League was first released in July 2015 on PC and PlayStation 4. Later on, ports for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch were released. The biggest change was in September 2020, when the game became free-to-play.

Birthday Ball Modes

From July 6 to July 13, players can jump in and join a match in the 2v2 Heatseeker mode. In this LTM, the ball has special homing abilities, so it'll always head to the goal of the opponent.

From July 13 to July 19, Knockout returns for everyone to enjoy. Fling players out of the Quadron, Carbon, and Calavera Arenas using unique attack, block, and grab mechanics.

Birthday Ball Challenges

This anniversary celebration is about the team behind the game, the players, and the community. In that regard, those who can finish all Birthday Ball Challenges have the chance to get a total of 300 Credits.

Besides credits, players can also earn Golden Goat Player Banner and Precious Metal Avatar Border when they finish Challenges. Other challenges reward players with an Import Item Drop or 20,000 XP.

Wear Your Best

The Item Shop is selling anniversary items, so don't forget to suit up with the Titanium White Fennec and Fancy Formal Fennec Decal.

There are also two new golden items available, which are Spyder: Anniversary Edition Wheels and Top Hat: Anniversary Edition Topper. These golden Items are sure to pair perfectly with the newest Rocket Pass rewards.

Golden Eggs

Throughout Birthday Ball, players can earn Golden Eggs and unlock items from the Champions Series 1-4. These Golden Eggs work like Golden rewards. So, those who complete the Challenge up to five times can earn these Golden Eggs.
