Rainbow Six Siege’s upcoming season, Crimson Heist, is right around the corner and Ubisoft has given us some cool insights into what to expect next season. The operator changes may take a while to get used to, but it looks like the skill gap between casual and veteran players will grow further with this update.

Operator Changes:

KALI:

  • Increased CSRX 300 damage to 127, from 122.
  • 1 body shot will kill a 3-speed Operator
  • 1 body shot will DBNO a 2-speed Operator
  • 1 body shot will DBNO a 1-speed Operator
  • Wearing Rook Vest
    • 1 body shot will DBNO a 3-speed Operator
    • 2 body shots will DBNO a 2-speed Operator
    • 2 body shots will DBNO a 1-speed Operator

Kali is getting a small buff for her weapon. The current build of the game has Kali in a terrible spot because her sniper rifle doesn’t really work out in close-quarter combat. Kali comes into play when both Thatcher and Maverick are banned, so Ubisoft is trying to increase Kali’s pick rate by increasing her weapon's damage.

Blackbeard:

  • Reduced Shield HP to 20, from 50
  • Reduced MK17 damage to 40, from 49

Blackbeard used to be one of the strong operators at launch, as his shield boasted 700 HP and could take a while to destroy. However, Ubisoft has gradually nerfed Blackbeard to the point where his shield seems nonexistent. Obviously, his shield can protect against headshots, but his weapon is too slow to react. Since the game revolves around the one-shot headshot mechanic, Ubisoft is trying their best to reduce the effectiveness of the shield.

NØKK

  • While HEL Presence Reduction is active, Nøkk won't activate proximity-based gadgets
    • Gadgets affected: Ela's Grzmot Mine, Melusi’s Banshee, Kapkan’s Entry Denial Device, Proximity Alarm, and Metal Detectors
  • Nøkk's glitch effect will cancel the proximity immunity, resulting in the activation of any gadget in range
  • The color of the HEL device on Nøkk’s hand will change colour when bypassing any proximity device.

NØKK is getting a major rework, which is in the Test Servers now. NØKK’s gadget, HEL Presence, won’t activate other defender gadgets that are related to proximity, including Ela's Grzmot Mine, Melusi’s Banshee, Kapkan’s Entry Denial Device, Proximity Alarm, and Metal Detectors. This rework will not make it to the live server unless players approve the change. Though, it appears unlikely to reach the main build as it would make her overpowering.
