PUBG Mobile Launching Dragon Ball Super Crossover Thursday

PUBG Mobile Dragon Ball Super
An exciting collab is here! Lightspeed & Quantum Studio

A new update is arriving tomorrow on PUBG Mobile that's sure to make a lot of players happy. That's because Update 2.7 is launching a collaboration with none other than Dragon Ball Super. There will be new Dragon Ball Super modes to enjoy, along with new items, vehicles, and even areas.

Summon Shenron

The update is set to introduce two Dragon Ball Super modes. The first runs from July 13 to September 4 and features classic PUBG Mobile battle royale gameplay with Dragon Ball elements. In this game, players get to collect the iconic seven Dragon Balls and summon Shenron, then make a wish at the Shenron Summoning Altar and receive powerful in-game buffs.

They also have a chance to discover four new Dragon Ball Super areas in Erangel, Livik and Sanhok that replicate locations and architecture from the series like Dragon Ball Village, Tenkaichi Budokai, Kame House, and Karin Tower. These locations have goodies for players to find. Plus, they can also throw the new Hoipoi Capsule and have it transform into the three-seater Air Car to travel the battlegrounds.

The Kamehameha

The update also introduces a Ki component. Players can gather Ki and experience enhanced mobility like Buku-jutsu (Levitation technique), which allows them to fly freely at running speed. Of course, obtaining Ki also lets them use the legendary Kamehameha beam and take out those enemies. For those low on Ki, simply look for Senzu Beans scattered on the battlefield and get back that health and energy.

Hidden Trial

Players looking for that added challenge can wait for the details of the hidden Dragon Ball Trial. The plot is that you are tasked with searching for seven Dragon Balls but their location is also visible to enemies. To win, successfully secure the Dragon Balls, defend the Shenron Summoning Altar, and of course, make a wish.

Battle Royale

The second Dragon Ball Super mode is running from July 15 to September 4, transforming the battlegrounds into a stylistic, animated art-style world. Here, there's no need for any of that traditional weaponry. Instead, players get to embody one of the iconic characters: Son Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Piccolo and Ultimate Gohan. They can use their unique main and support moves in battle and see if they can be the last one standing.

As part of this mode, players can gather Spirit Crystlets and Spirit Crystals from the ground to restore energy and upgrade their moves, with the highest being Level 4. There are also new features like Teleport Points and Updraft to traverse and manipulate the map.
