Pretty Little Liars returns June 21, following the older liars as they navigate the their new ‘Uber A’ mystery. But the upcoming Season 7 may also include many love connections, as it has already been called the “most romantic” season of Pretty Little Liars to date, according to Variety .
Season 7 could introduce one of the shows most coveted couples, Alison and Emily, more affectionately known as “Emison.” Sasha Pieterse, who plays Alison in Pretty Little Liars recently gave fans hope that the couple could get together during the upcoming season.
“There’s always hope for ‘Emison,'” Pieterse recently told TVLine . “To be honest, though, I don’t know how long it’s going to take Alison to find out [about Elliott.] I can say that she’s going to go crazy this season, absolutely bonkers.”
Season 6 ended with the revelation that Alison’s deceased mother, Jessica DiLaurentis, has a twin sister, Mary Drake. Mary Drake is the mother of Cece Drake, also known as Charlotte DiLaurentis. We basically learn that Charlotte, who is also decreased, was Alison’s cousin and not her older sister, because Mary Drake is Cece’s biological mother.
We also learn that Alison’s new husband, Elliott Rollins, is working with Mary Drake to exact revenge on the liars. We’re not yet certain why Elliott is working with Mary, but Alison is sure to have her hands full during Season 7, being married to someone who means to do her harm.
But the other half of “Emison” would be excited to see the two get together during Season 7.
“Everybody wants them together, right? ‘Emison’ End Game! … Honestly, though, I’m all for it. The fans really love ‘Emison,'” Shay Mitchell, who plays Emily, told TV Line .
The Pretty Little Liars team is already working hard on the upcoming season. Pieterse recently shared on Instagram, the cover of her script for the Season 7 premiere, which is called “Tick-Tock Bitches.”
Pretty Little Liars will return to Freeform June 21 at 8 p.m. ET.
