Episode 18 ended with Aria in the hospital recovering after suffering second-degree burns to her arm during an explosion at Hanna’s bridal shower. The shower takes place at Lucas’ apartment, which is fully automated via tablet. The tablet malfunctions, causing several features and appliances to go haywire. While in the hospital, Aria receives a text that lets her know “Uber A” was behind the malfunction.Ezra comes to the hospital with magazines and other things to cheer Aria up, but pretty soon her boyfriend Liam comes to keep her company. In prior episodes, it appeared that Aria was dealing with some residual feelings for Ezra, while Ezra remained largely oblivious and unresponsive, still dealing with the death of his girlfriend. However, Ezra now looks like he wanted to spend more time with Aria, even though Liam interrupts.

Caleb is still dealing with the fallout from confessing to leaking details about Yvonne’s unplanned pregnancy and abortion. Toby punches Caleb in defense of his girlfriend. At this point, Spencer is the only person who knows Caleb did not leak the information.

Spencer later tells Toby the truth about Caleb and the new “Uber A.” We see a flashback with details about why Spencer and Toby broke up. Spencer was in college at Georgetown University and Toby was still living and working in Rosewood. But Toby comes to her side when she discovers that she’s pregnant. The two argue, break up, and it is implied that Spencer had an abortion.

Detective Tanner brings Aria in for a line-up, explaining that a witness came forward, claiming to have seen someone who fits Aria’s description the night Charlotte was murdered. Aria believes Sarah Harvey was the witness, as she spots her leaving the police station. Aria goes back to the police department to talk to Tanner and manages to read a document on the detective’s desk, which states that the witness saw a person holding a pair of keys with a keychain of two pink dice. After Hanna’s bridal shower comes to an abrupt end, Emily discovers that Mona owns the dice keychain.

In Episode 19, Alison has an accident and falls down a flight of stairs, an incident that is likely also connected to “Uber A.” As the new stalker continues to toy with the Liars, he or she provokes Hanna into confessing to Charlotte’s murder. However, at this point, we don’t know if Hanna actually killed Charlotte, or if she’s just talking the fall. Aria also tells Ezra that she and her friends are being targeted once again. Aria attempts to find out what Mona knows about Charlotte’s murder.

Meanwhile, it appears that Hanna is using the new Rosewood drama as a reason to stay in her hometown, instead of going back to New York to be with her fiancé, Jordan. She continues to stay in Lucas’ apartment, though she and Caleb may have a moment as they figure out how to deal with the new “A.”

The rest of the story unfolds Tuesday when Pretty Little Liars Season 6 Episode 19 airs at 8 p.m. EDT on Freeform.
