'Pokémon Legends: Z-A' Patches Mega Stone Bug in Ranked Battles, Now Guarantees Rank Rewards

All Mega Stones are now guaranteed to be redeemed thanks to this patch.

"Pokémon Legends: Z-A's" latest patch is now live, and for those who have not yet downloaded and installed it, the time is now, as it promises a fix on the infamous "Mega Stone bug."

'Pokémon Legends: Z-A' Patch Fixes Mega Stone Bug

Game Freak and The Pokémon Company have recently rolled out update 1.0.3 for "Pokémon Legends: Z-A," and it is not just any update because it contains the Mega Stone bug fix players have been waiting for.

According to GameRant, the Mega Stone bug in "Pokémon Legends: Z-A" prevented trainers who participated in Ranked Battles from getting the Season 2 and Season 1 Mega Evolution stones.

Season 2 is best known for leveraging the Delphoxite stone that brings the Mega Evolution form of Delphox, while Season 1 famously delivered the Greninjite stone, which transforms Greninja into its mega-evolved form.

However, the bug has been preventing some trainers from getting either stone from the rewards of their online ranked battles despite reaching the adequate rank for it.

In Season 1, the Greninjite required a longer grind as it was available in Rank K, and players are made to start from Rank Z. However, in Season 2, this changed as the Delphoxite was the reward for reaching Rank S, while also making the Greninjite obtainable for those who had not yet received them in Season 1 available at Rank Y.

Despite reaching both ranks already, some trainers did not receive either of the stones, and many grew frustrated as their efforts were wasted.

Game Freak or The Pokémon Company did not reveal the severity of this bug and how many players it affected, but they made sure to address it alongside the release of Season 3 that debuted this Thursday, November 27.

Ranked Battle Rewards Are Now Guaranteed

According to the patch notes, downloading and installing the patch would give players the Greninjite and Delphoxite if they reached the appropriate ranks during Season 2's run.

After this patch, the Ranked Battle Rewards that offer these Mega Evolution stones are now guaranteed for players even after Season 2 is over, and all players have to do is head on to the Ranked Battles page under Link Play.

After booting the game and heading to Ranked Battles, players only need to wait for the pop-up message on the screen to receive their rewards as it will automatically give them the missing Mega Evolution stones they are due.

Season 3 is officially live on "Pokémon Legends: Z-A," and this brings the third Mega Evolution stone as a reward for ranking up in the league. This time, it brings the Mega Stone for the last of the Kalos starters, Chesnaught, with the Chesnaughtite obtainable when reaching Rank S.
