December Community Day

Regirock is arriving in the game this weekend, which is the time for December Community Day too. As the final Community Day of the year, many will happen at the same time. For one, all Pokémon featured in previous Community Day events will appear more often in the wild and raids. Shiny Pokémon are also set to appear at certain times of the day. Read more about that here.

Testing New Features

Back in June, the Pokémon GO team announced the testing of features to improve the gameplay experience. These include Reality Blending and Daily Free Boxes. You can read more about that here .

A few days back, the team announced that they were conducting tests on two other features. The first is the Raid Battle rewards. Rewards are adjusted temporarily from December 9 until sometime in early January. This is, however, limited to the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The second testing is the Egg-management. This applies to some Trainers worldwide and works in two variations. For both variations, Trainers can store as much as three extra Eggs from weekly Adventure Sync rewards and Team GO Rocket Leader battles. But it only works if Trainers have nine Eggs in their Egg storage.

For testing the first variation, all 12 Eggs will appear in the same section of the Egg-storage tab. For the second variation, the extra Eggs will appear in the “Bonus Storage” section of the same tab. Trainers who take part in the tests will notice that newly acquired Eggs won’t count toward their Pokémon storage limit. At least, until the Eggs are placed in Incubators.

The tests start on December 11 with the Pokémon GO team saying in a blog post that it’s going to “continue for an indefinite amount of time.” Depending on the results, the game may invite more Trainers to join.
