There was a Pokémon Go panel at San Diego Comic-Con this year and Niantic CEO, John Hanke appeared to talk to the Hall H crowd about the new mobile phenomenon.

The panel was actually very informative and Hanke gave fans in attendance a lot to look forward to, including trading , inclusion of more Pokémon and possible breeding. And no, when or how to capture some of the Legendary Pokémon like Mewtwo or the Legendary Bird Trio were not divulged but there’s still a lot to take away from the Pokémon Go panel.

Here’s what you may have missed from the Pokémon Go panel at Comic-Con -- via IGN.

TRADING AND MORE POKEMON COMING

Hanke made sure to tell those in attendance that the plan is to support Pokémon Go for years and that will include some major updates.

It’s already known that trading will be the first big update but Hanke teased that they “are probably some Pokemon that will find their way into our universe” even beyond the current original set of 150.

Gen 2 confirmed? We’ll have to wait and see.

BREEDING?

During a Q&A session, a fan asked about the possibility of breeding in Pokémon Go . Hanke called breeding a “great suggestion” that has been discussed among the team. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been confirmed as an upcoming feature.

Later on in the panel, Hanke added that only one tenth of what the team wanted in Pokémon Go actually made it into the game at launch. Perhaps if the game continues to be popular, we’ll all get those features.

POKESTOP CUSTOMIZATION AND POKEMON CENTERS?

Niantic is also looking into customizing PokeStops, where trainers can get an item that will change the functionality of the PokeStop. Pokemon Centers were also mentioned as a possibility, which would solve the problem of running out of revives and potions to heal your team.

TEAM LEADERS

The Team Leaders of Valor, Mystic and Instinct were formally revealed at the panel. When Pokémon Go players are first introduced to them, they are silhouettes but now we know how they look.

Blanche is the leader of Mystic, Candela leads Valor and Spark leads Instinct.

Hanke goes even further than just showing how the Team Leaders look by teasing that they will be popping up in the future and they’ll give the player advice.

MORE EASTER EGGS

Hanke and Niantic confirmed the Eeveelution Easter Egg that lets trainers decide what their Eevee’s evolve into and that there are still Easter Eggs found in Pokémon Go that haven’t be found yet.

“There might be some other Easter eggs buried in there yet to be discovered,” he teased.

What could these other Easter Eggs possibly be?

BUG FIXES

Along with the possible big updates coming, Hanke said that Niantic’s focus right now is to stabilize the servers and get Pokémon Go to the rest of the world. There is a lot the devs want to do in regards to bug fixes before any of the big updates are implemented.

Hanke did acknowledge the tracking glitch and that the team is aware of the bug.

And that’s the big news from the Pokémon Go panel at Comic-Con. What did you think of what was said? What are you most excited for in the future? Let us know in the comments section below.
