A new update has been released for Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis which brings a lot of new content. Players should be happy to know that the level cap has been increased to 45. Everyone should also look forward to trying out the new Photon Arts for weapons.
Indeed, ARKS instructors have been working really hard to refine the new Photon Arts for all weapons. That’s not all since they also created Compound Techniques for those able to directly wield Photons. With the new update, one Photon Art is added to most weapons, excluding rods, tails, and wands. Instead, rods, tails, and wands get three new types of Compound Techniques. These are powerful Class Skills activated by consuming a special power gauge.
Retem Updates
New updates have been introduced in Retem. The Retem Alnothe Combat Sector, for instance, has new High Ranked Sectors added. Players can take advantage of this by farming PSE Bursts at the new Rank 3 Combat Sectors.
There are also two new Retem Urgent Quests available in Retem's High-Rank Sectors. Here, enemies increase the attack and defense of other enemies around them, but the good news is that defeating them rewards players with a large amount of Meseta and an occasional Arms Refiner drop.
Party Recruitment System
Another new feature is the Party Recruitment system. What this one does is make it easy for everyone to find new players to play with. For example, players can now recruit others from the same Room by using the Communications menu, then set the purpose of the party and requirements to join.
Other Features
- Dedicated photo rooms that let players take photos without enemies and even change the weather.
- Playlist function added to the mag jukebox. This means players can play their favorite in-game songs one after the other automatically.
- Streamer Mode helps streamers show off their gameplay. It does disable Chat during screen-sharing.
- Players can keep up to date with specific rare drops through custom notifications.
Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis is set a thousand years after the events of Phantasy Star Online 2. It takes place on Halpha, a planet where ARKS and DOLLS battle for dominance. The game is available on PC and Xbox One.
