Atlus revealed the artwork for the SteelBook Launch Edition of Persona 5 for North America and Europe, on the heels of the game's Japanese debut last week.

Back in June, Atlus announced the SteelBook edition will come as a free bonus to anyone who pre-orders the PS4 version of Persona 5, or the super-deluxe Take Your Heart edition. Check out the new cover and the internal artwork, below:

The cover art keeps up the black, white and red color scheme consistent with most of Persona 5’s promotional materials and in-game design. The protagonist and Morgana are front and center, with the six other Phantom Thieves fanning out behind. All are wearing everyday attire, while the inside art features them in full thief regalia.

Noticeably missing from both images is a character Atlus has teased, but kept shrouded in mystery relative to the rest of the cast: Goro Akechi. The so-called “detective prince” seems to be a playable character, but Atlus hasn’t revealed any information about Goro’s Persona or Arcana affiliation. Goro has been somewhat downplayed, perhaps because he joins the party later in the game. It’s also possible he could be an antagonist, working against the Phantom Thieves. Still, his absence from the cover of the Persona 5 SteelBook speaks volumes. It’s likely this character will have a big role to play in the story.

We’ll find out more about Goro’s role in the story of the Phantom Thieves when Persona 5 finally debuts in North America and Europe on Feb. 14, 2017. Gotta have more Persona in the meantime? Check out our (spoiler-free) guide to everything we know about the Phantom Thieves.
