Netflix Unveils 'FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition' Game
Netflix previously announced the development of a football game in partnership with FIFA, and now, it has debuted the "FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition."
In a previous press release, Netflix Games President Alan Tascan said that they want to deliver a game that takes players back to the roots of football and create an experience that "everyone can play with just the touch of a button."
What to Expect from the New Netflix-FIFA Game
The game is a streamlined football simulation that is fast, fluid, and fun with friends, supporting up to four players.
It allows Netflix members to experience the emotion and drama of the tournament in its purest form, built for anyone to jump in regardless of how familiar they are with video games or soccer.
"FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition" is a game developed for the large TV screen, and players will be required to use their smartphones as controllers for the latest experience. As per Netflix and FIFA, the title is for everyone to enjoy as it delivers a special experience for all users, regardless of whether they have played a soccer game before.
"Launching alongside the kickoff of the historic FIFA Men's World Cup on June 11, you'll be able to play as any of the 48 teams in the tournament, travel to the 16 real-world stadiums, and take control of any of the 1,248 players in the Cup," said Netflix.
