Pre-registrations for the upcoming game My Isekai Life: Strongest Sage Online are now being accepted. The game is set to be released in June 2022 and can be downloaded for free through the G123 platform.
The game is based on the light novel “My Isekai Life: I Gained a Second Character Class and Became the Strongest Sage in the World!” which has sold more than five million copies. An anime adaptation is coming out in July 2022. It’s safe to say that it’s a bit unique compared to other games based on anime since it is launching before the anime.
From the title alone, it should be clear what the story is about. However, unlike stories in the same genre, this doesn’t involve “truck-kun.” The MC is one Yuji Sano, a corporate drone who works all the time whether at the office or at home. One day, he gets a message on his PC about being summoned to another world. He restarted the machine without knowing that he inadvertently accepted the summon.
Now that he is in a fantasy world, he hopes to wake up from what he thinks is a dream and get back to work. As it turns out, his character class is Monster Tamer which allows him to befriend slime. The slimes in turn help him absorb so much magical knowledge that he immediately gets a second character class.
The series is written by Shinkoshoto and illustrated by Huuka Kazabana. This is the same duo responsible for "The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest." Unlike My Isekai Life, this one is about reincarnation. The story focuses on a rather skilled sage who makes the decision to reincarnate thousands of years in the future. The manga adaptation was released in July 2017. The anime had 12 episodes which started in January 2022 and ended in March 2022. It also has a mobile game coming out this year.
Going back to the game, no other details have been revealed but CTW Inc. did announce that additional information is coming out this May.
