It’s the battle of the bombshells affiliated with Kanye West now that model and actress Amber Rose has released her own emoji application called MuvaMoji. The app reportedly earned over $2 million in its first day of availability when it launched March 31.

Whether you’re team Amber or team Kim, all's fair when it comes to the internet. You may want to put your super fan loyalty aside for a moment and consider which app may be better for you from a mobile functionality standpoint.

Both apps cost $1.99

MuvaMoji and Kimoji are both paid apps, but at $1.99 they’re not bank-breakers.

Both applications are rated M

Neither MuvaMoji nor Kimoji are suitable for children. The app stores instruct users must be at least 17 years old to use the app and list the following content warnings:

Infrequent/Mild Profanity or Crude Humor
Infrequent/Mild Mature/Suggestive Themes
Frequent/Intense Sexual Content or Nudity

Users can send the custom emojis to any device

Users can send MuvaMojis or Kimojis to devices that don’t have the apps installed, including Windows Phone and Blackberry devices. However, both apps require iOS 8 or later or Android 4.0.3 or later to install. Users may want to take these limitations into consideration when sending emojis.

MuvaMoji has more emoji designs

MuvaMoji has a over 900 emoji designs while Kimoji has over 500 emoji designs. It is impressive that MuvaMoji has so many emojis at launch, considering Kimoji started with only about 250.

While both applications get a little bit of a shaft in Android translation, MuvaMoji has a significantly higher user rating (3.2) compared to Kimoji , which users have rated at 1.8.

Users have similar complaints about the Android versions of both applications, including that many of the animated emojis don’t work and may send as links as opposed to images. Some users have not been able to send emojis at all on Android, but rather just large images.

MuvaMoji has higher user rating on iOS

MuvaMoji also has an overall higher rating on the Apple App store at 4.5 stars, while Kimoj i has 3 stars. At launch, MuvaMoji was the top paid application , according to Entertainment Tonight , while Kimoji ranked as the 10th most popular paid application.

MuvaMoji has current events and culture references

MuvaMoji includes many themed emojis, including categories devoted to the LGBT community and current events. There is a “Free Kesha” emoji, to show solidarity with the singer, as well as an emoji of Bill Cosby holding a mugshot sign that reads “I did it.”

Kimoji recently updated with Easter-themed emojis

Easter may have come and gone, but users can still enjoy the holiday-themed update that rolled out two weeks ago, featuring a Kim with bunny ears, a chocolate bunny, black and white Jesus emojis and many others.
