The Planet Crafter Now Has at Least 28,000 Concurrent Players on Steam

Miju Games announced that in about two weeks since The Planet Crafter was launched, the game now has more than 28,000 concurrent players over on Steam. It's pretty the same number of positive reviews. This success is indeed a big milestone considering that it was made possible by a team of only six people.

With this, the studio revealed in a post that they'll be adding new content and in fact are now "working on the next free update." The studio went on to say that they'll try to come out with several updates in a year. There's also plans to release DLC through it's going to need more time.

The Planet Crafter is a space survival and open world terraforming crafting game that's been design for one to 10 players. The goal is to survive on a hostile planet by converting barren land to a lush paradise.

After two 2 years in early access with seven major updates released in between, the game officially launched version 1.0 last April 10. Features that came with the full release include:

New online multiplayer co-op mode up to 10 players
New big animals creation via DNA manipulation
3 new biomes
New lore and end game content
New character animations
New cinematic introduction
Improvements and rework of existing biomes
New items to craft and new mechanics
20 new exclusive music tracks

The studio also revealed that for the full release, they worked with Benjamin Young for The Planet Crafter Soundtrack. The soundtrack actually evolves along with the terraforming and even play depending on where the players are on the planet. The studio went on to say that they're "really proud of this collaboration" and that the soundtrack is now available on different platforms.
