Kingdom Hearts, the long-running RPG franchise by Square Enix, has been released on multiple platforms throughout its lifetime. However, not a single KH game was ever released for PC, until now.

Square Enix announced yesterday that several of the Kingdom Hearts games will finally launch on PC. But they will be exclusive to Epic Games Store, a move that likely to anger some of the fans.

Four items are available for purchase with each offering different games. Each one of these games will be available on March 30:

  • Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix
  • Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
  • Kingdom Hearts 3
  • Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory

Kingdoms Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix is the only one that costs $50, every other game will cost you $60. So if you want to purchase all the titles, then those will set you back $230. That’s a little expensive IMO.

KH HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix contains the most amount of stuff as it’s the compilation of older games. It’s also a great way for new fans to get to know more about the universe. We recommend that you purchase this before trying out the rest of the games.

The compilation contains the following games:

  • KINGDOM HEARTS FINAL MIX
  • KINGDOM HEARTS Re:Chain of Memories
  • KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days (HD Remastered cinematics)
  • KINGDOM HEARTS II FINAL MIX
  • KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep Final MIX
  • KINGDOM HEARTS Re:coded (HD Remastered cinematics)

The second compilation is the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. It contains the following:

  • KINGDOM HEARTS Dream Drop Distance HD
  • KINGDOM HEARTS: Birth by Sleep – A fragmentary passage –
  • KINGDOM HEARTS χ Back Cover (movie)

The other two games are their own things, which means they are not a compilation and only contain one game. Though they do come with complete DLCs, so that's a plus point.

So what do you think? Are you excited about Kingdom Hearts for PC? Will you purchase the game on EGS or wait for the exclusivity deal to end? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
