Mortal Kombat 11 released a gameplay trailer that features its next playable character: Nightwolf. The character is available starting August 13 as part of the early access period for Kombat Pack owners.

Born as Grey Cloud, NIghtwolf is a proud and fierce warrior dedicated to the cause of good and chosen by the Great Spirit to become the protector and champion of the Matoka tribe. In addition to his signature tomahawk swing, Nightwolf possesses extraordinary magic that allows him to manifest weapons created from spirit energy to fight for the Matoka’s future and defend all of Earthrealm.

Nightwolf is the latest playable fighter to join the Mortal Kombat 11 roster as part of the Kombat Pack, alongside other fighters like Shang Tsung (who is already available), Sindel, and Spawn. Two additional guest characters are going to be announced at a later date. Aside from the one-week early access for Nightwolf, Kombat Pack owners receive the Klassic Arcade Fighter Skin Pack featuring Jax, Kung Lao, and Kano, as well as the new War Games Sonya Blade Skin.

The Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack is the best way to upgrade the Mortal Kombat 11 game experience with new downloadable content. It features six characters, numerous skin and gear sets and one-week early access for all content. Players can purchase the Kombat Pack as part of the Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition for $99.99 or individually for $39.99. All DLC characters and bonus character skin packs are going to be available for individual purchase after the one-week early access period.

In addition, the new season of the Kombat League is currently live for all Mortal Kombat 11 owners, where players can compete in an ongoing ranked mode against other online Kombatants to earn exclusive Kronika-themed rewards in the “Season of Time.”

Mortal Kombat 11 was released in April of this year and is the eleventh main installment in the Mortal Kombat series. Mortal Kombat brings back Fatalities and Brutalities and introduces new gameplay features like Fatal Blows and Krushing Blows. Fatal Blows are special moves like the X-ray moves in Mortal Kombat X. Fatal Blows deal a large amount of damage, but only become available when a player's health drops below 30%. Krushing Blows, meanwhile, are mainly a special cinematic variation of a given special move and are triggered when certain requirements are met. Mortal Kombat 11 was the bestselling video game for both April and May.
