Time for some nostalgic fun.

When Mortal Kombat 11 released its launch trailer, it hyped lots of long-time fans. It wasn’t only because a new game in the franchise was being released. What made it better was that the trailer used the theme song back in 1995.

Looks like there’s another treat for players. Mortal Kombat 11 dropped its newest offering with the Klassic MK Movie Skin Pack. Available for $5.99 - it adds new character skin variants to three characters.

Before we go into detail, you should watch the reveal trailer below:

Get it yet? If not, you were probably too young. To give it a bit of context, a movie adaptation of the game was first released in 1995. Some characters in the movie were Raiden (Christopher Lambert), Johnny Cage (Linden Ashby), and Sonya Blade (Bridgette Wilson-Sampras).

The new skins make use of the likeness and voices of the three main actors mentioned. They even wore the same costumes in the movie. The skins are:

  • Protector of Earthrealm Raiden
  • Hollywood Kombatant Johnny Cage
  • Island Bound Sonya Blade

Looking at the different reaction videos of the trailer on YouTube, there’s no question that it has brought nostalgia.
