The PlayStation Showcase Event that took place yesterday revealed tons of games. We already knew about some of them, while the others were newly announced titles. However, there were certain games that fans were desperately waiting for, which were a no-show. We have mentioned those games below.
The Last of Us Factions
The Last of Us Factions, the standalone multiplayer game based in the TLOU2 universe, has been in development for more than a year now. Almost everyone thought that we would see the game to some degree during the event. But its absence disappointed many fans. Naughty Dog has stayed silent about Factions but has assured that it will be worth the wait. The Outbreak Day that the TLOU community celebrates will take place on September 26. Maybe we will see something then.
Bloodborne Remastered
Rumors about Bloodborne Remastered have been going on for more than two years. But none has come true. A most recent rumor suggested that the game will launch on PS5 in early 2022. So, many fans expected that it would be shown yesterday, but that didn’t happen. This makes us wonder about the accuracy of the leak in the first place. It won’t be the first time that a rumor about Bloodborne turned out to be fake.
Unannounced Bend Studio Game
We know that the developer of Days Gone, Bend Studio, is making a new game, and that isn’t a sequel. It’s an original IP. The last game that the developer released was Days Gone back in 2019. It means they have been working on their new title for over two years now. We expected that they would have something ready to show by now. Unfortunately, that’s not true. I guess we will have to wait a little while before we see anything from them.
The Last of Us Remake
The report that revealed the new game by Bend Studio also announced that TLOU is being remade. The Last of Us Remake is allegedly in development by Naughty Dog. It’s expected that the game is in early development as ND released its ambitious sequel just last year. If the Remake is in the works, we will probably hear about it after a couple of years.
