The game puts players in the role of a young girl who wakes up in a dungeon with no memory of her past. She is then rescued by Beatrice, a mysterious magician who would later serve as her guide. The young girl then starts on a journey to find answers as well as learn more about the Lost Ruins.
Besides the main character and Beatrice, players also get to meet a Goblin Merchant. This rather helpful little guy appears every now and then to assist players. There’s also Sora and Mingie, two girls who aren’t only zombies but are clearly fans of pop idols.
