The Lost and The Wicked Coming Out This Thursday

A different kind of adventure.
A different kind of adventure. Isaac Torres

The Lost and The Wicked is all set to launch on Steam this Thursday, March 24. It brands itself as a brutal twin-stick psycho-thriller. The game is developed by Isaac Torres with music composed by E. Zack Kennedy and the story written by Andrew Diatroptoff and Zack Kennedy.

The development was started by Torres when he was in his senior year of high school. He would meet Kennedy in California State University through a game development club. Eventually, Kennedy would be the one to compose the music and introduce Torres to Diatroptoff. Despite working full-time jobs, the team has worked on the game and this upcoming release is a result of four years of hard work.

Features of the game are:

  • Story
    • Players need to discover their past, who they are, and where they came from.
    • The most important is how did they get to this place?
  • Gameplay
    • The wicked get faster, stronger, and deadlier but so does the players’ arsenal.
    • Players can unlock weapons and abilities as they continue on their journey and discover their past.
  • Bosses
    • These creatures seem stronger than the rest.
    • Players can fight against unique bosses and increase their strength in the process.

Marketing the Game

The game is made by an indie development team, and they are marketing it differently than big studios. The team has partnered with North Country Pharms to create and launch the World’s First Video Game Branded Marijuana Strain, Wicked Indica, a custom jar designed after The Lost and The Wicked.

The game is a character study on regret, facing one’s demons, and confronting the past. As already mentioned, players need to beat unforgiving enemies and bosses, descend and uncover the story of who they are and where they came from. As they go through hectic gameplay, players can enjoy the two-hour original soundtrack.

This Wicked Weed is set to be sold by local bay area dispensaries, Flower Co. and Sticky Thumb, through the Game Developers Conference 2022. It’s also available across California.
