League of Legends: Patch 4.1 Introduces Three New Items That Tank Mains Will Love

Patch 4.1
Patch 4.1 Riot Games

Tanks got a lot of love in the latest update for League of Legends: Wild Rift. Patch 4.1 added three brand-new items that enhance tanks in various ways.

New Items

The first item on the list is called Mantle of the Twelfth Hour. If you’re the type of person who wants to take a beating, then this one's for you!

Mantle of the Twelfth Hour gives you 50 armor and 50 magic resistance but its Lifeline passive is what makes this item special. That’s because you’ll heal 200 + 50% of your health over three seconds if you take damage that would lower your maximum HP below 35%. You have a good chance of escaping tricky low-HP situations because you also gain slow resistance and increased movement speed for three seconds. This effect has a 90-second cooldown.

If taking down enemy champions is your thing, then be sure to give this next item a try. The Amaranth Twinguard gives 55 armor and magic resistance. However, this one has a passive where you gain a stack of Endurance for each second you are in combat with enemy champions. Upon reaching five stacks, you’ll gain size, 20% tenacity, and your armor and magic resistance are increased by 30%. These effects last until you leave combat with champions. The Amaranth Twinguard lets you soak damage without worry while you assist your team in defeating enemy champions in a clash.

The last item of the bunch is called Shimmering Spark. Its Immolate passive deals five to 10 magic damage to nearby enemies per second, which should help you dispatch monsters more effectively if you are using a tank champion to clear the jungle. Also, since Shimmering Spark can be combined with Sunfire Aegis or paired with the Searing Crown, it grants you a lot of flexibility in your build path.
