Considered as one of the most memorable RPGs of all time, The Last Remnant Remastered is all set to introduce itself to a whole new audience as it releases on mobile devices. The original game was first released in 2008 and puts players in the role of the young warrior Sykes. Sykes' sister, Irina, has been kidnapped by a mysterious organization and this sets Sykes on the journey that is going to change the world.

The Last Remnant was created by the who's who of Japanese RPGs. This includes Akitoshi Kawazu of Final Fantasy and SaGa fame along with Yusuke Naora, the Art Director on Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy XV. Hiroshi Takai, the Assistant Director on Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn, even added development assistance.

The Last Remnant was released back in 2008 and managed to capture the hearts and minds of gamers with its story, characters, and battle system. The game exists in a world that was woven together by the Mitra, Yama, Qsiti, and Sovani races. In The Last Remnant there are mysterious objects known as Remnant that have been in existence since the ancient times. No one really knows who created them and what they are for. Since then, the power of the Remnants has resulted in the world falling out of balance.

One interesting feature in The Last Remnant is its unique battle system. This command style battle offers players ever-changing scenarios. Simply coming into contact with enemies on the field immediately triggers battles. To win, players need to strategize properly since conditions of a battle can change depending on the state of friendly and enemy forces as well as their positions.

There is also the morale system that needs to be considered, which can impact the fight. During battle, morale reveals the spirit of individuals and groups of both friendly and enemy forces. Forces that have higher morale get advantageous effects like increasing the attack stat in order to deal more damage. It can even have the effect of decreasing damage dealt by the enemy.

The Last Remnant Remastered is available from both the iOS App Store and Google Play. The game is also available on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
