L.A. Noire on Nintendo Switch will be a big download, even if you buy the physical version of the game. This means the download size for the digital version is even bigger. This information comes from a post on the Rockstar website.

According to Rockstar, players who buy a physical cartridge for L.A. Noire will still need to download 14GB of information to play. The additional information consists of necessary gameplay data as well as general bug fixes and other post-launch updates. Rockstar says this download will work whether downloaded to microSD cards or straight to the Switch’s internal storage.

If you intend to download L.A. Noire digitally, you are also going to need a microSD card to play. The download size will be 29GB, which is more storage space than the Switch has. Even if you have no other games downloaded to your console, you’ll still need the extra space to download L.A. Noire.

However, not just any microSD card will work. If you plan on playing digitally or with a physical game cartridge, you’ll need to make sure your microSD card has a read speed of at least 60 MB/second. For more information on microSD cards that are compatible with Switch consoles, check out the FAQ page on Nintendo’s website.

The Switch version of L.A. Noire will not have as much graphical overhaul as the Xbox One and PS4 versions. Instead, the game will probably look and play like it did when it was originally released on PS3 and Xbox 360. That said, the Switch version will include all previously released DLC. There will also be added over-the-shoulder cinematic camera angles. L.A. Noire will also take advantage of the Switch’s unique features, including HD rumble, touch screen support and motion controls.

L.A. Noire will be released for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and HTC Vive on Nov. 14.

So what do you think? Are you excited to play L.A. Noire on the Switch? Will you have to go buy a compatible microSD card first? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
