Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R New Trailer Show In-Game Systems and Game Modes

A new trailer has been released for Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R, which gives a preview of the in-game systems as well as the game modes. Revealed also are some of the upcoming updates that will introduce new features and enhancements to the game.

Going back to the trailer, it’s voiced by the original Japanese voice actors from the anime series Koichi Hirose and Rohan Kishibe. You can watch the trailer below:

In case you don't have time to watch that awesome trailer, it puts the spotlight on some character abilities like Stands and Mounted fighters. Other features shown include:

  • The Battle System called "Assist" allows players to use a pre-selected character as an assist.
  • Easy Beat lets players connect combos with a series of button presses.
  • All-Star Battle mode lets you experience dream matchups.
  • Versus Mode allows players to compete in tournaments of up to eight players. It can also be 1v1 or 3v3 team battles.
  • ​Arcade Mode has an option where players can challenge eight consecutive battles.
  • There's also Endless Battle where you can fight as long as you have energy.

Updates

The game is set to receive updates in the future that include improvements based on community feedback from the Early Access Demo released in June. Some of the enhancements to be introduced are:

  • Frequency of Taunt and effect while an opponent is down.
    • Change the frequency of Taunt to once per match.
    • When the Taunt is activated, the reduction of the opponent HH gauge is changed from 0.1 gauge to 1 gauge.
    • The opponent's HH gauge can be reduced only once per match.
  • Frequency of Assist Attack
    • Changed Assault Assists (attack) and Reversal Assists (defense) as individual uses with a certain number of uses per round.
  • Add new function for Practice Mode
    • A plan to add a function to record the opponent’s movements and make it able to retry specific character positions.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is set to be the biggest game ever in the franchise with a roster of 50 characters coming from every story arc. That means players not only get the chance to experience popular battles from each story arc but also see heroes from different universes interact with each other for the first time.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is coming out on PC on September 1. Versions for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch are arriving on September 2.
