There are several Batman and Spiderman games and not many Iron Man games, but that might change in a couple of years. The co-founder of XboxEra.com and co-host of XboxEra Podcast, Shpeshal_Nick, claims that an Iron Man game is in development by Electronic Arts.

The Leak

He further claimed that the game is in very early development. “Like, so early, in fact, that there’s a chance it still doesn’t happen. That’s how early this is. It’s like, ridiculously early,” Nick said in the video above.

Other Leakers

Other prominent leakers like Jeff Grubb and Tom Henderson have corroborated this information. While there is a good chance that the leak is accurate, keep in mind that the games can be canceled anytime. EA could drop the project in the future if it doesn’t work out, so take all of this with a grain of salt. Anyway, we won’t be seeing the project anytime soon. Even if the game is in development, it’s gonna be years away.

Other Disney Project by EA

The Iron Man video game is the second Marvel project rumored for EA. Previous rumors have suggested that EA is developing a Black Panther game. It seems like the publisher has a good relationship with Disney. They are also working on several Star Wars games with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor releasing next year. A Star Wars FPS and RTS are also in the works by Respawn Entertainment.

Marvel Project by Other Studios

Disney is going all-in in the gaming scene. Two major superhero games Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine are being developed by Insomniac Games.

Skydance New Media, formed by Amy Hennig, the creator of the Uncharted series, is also working on a Marvel game. The developer describes the project as a narrative-driven, blockbuster action-adventure game.

Firaxis Games, developer of XCOM 2, is working on Marvel’s Midnight Suns, a tactical role-playing game launching in October 2022.
