Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to release Season Six tomorrow. Not much has been revealed, though there is one interesting addition that players are sure to love. Warzone players are going to get access to the Metro, also known as the Verdansk Subway System.

This new transportation system should make travelling between the numerous points of interest in Verdansk that much faster. In addition, there’s going to be some new areas ready to be explored that come with supply boxes and loose loadout items.

Today we look at the different ways that can help you make the most of this new feature.

Considering that this is a new way to travel, there’s no question that it’s going to be the fastest method of getting around Verdansk. While the subway system isn’t that large in terms of surface area, the way operators can travel between different points should allow for some interesting strategies. For example, it lets you avoid Bounties and even finish contracts faster. A Supply Run could lead to a Store that may be just a few steps from a station a couple of stops away.

Like with the real world, you need to be careful when going around this new area. As any New Yorker knows, you need to try to not step on the subway tracks. Not only does this likely mean death, but even your squad mates won’t be able to pick up any of your belongings. That said, there is a safe area in the subway. When there is fighting aboard a subway train or between it and the platform, the train isn’t going to move. Be sure to make the most of the limited down time to do what you need like reloading weapons or swapping items with the squad.

The Metro also has tunnels that you and your team can take advantage of and use to catch a high value target or hide from a pursuing enemy team. Going over everything we know about the subway system, it’s clear that the best weapons to use here are those for close quarters combat. That means SMGs and shotguns.

Similar to most of the interior spaces in Verdansk, each subway station offers a number of ways to gather some items. Here’s a tip: be sure to check the small rooms on the platform level.

There’s still a lot to know about the Metro and we won’t spoil all of it. However, if you follow even some of what we’ve said so far, you already have the advantage.

So what are you waiting for? Dive down into the Metro and fight away.
