It’s been quiet in Pokémon Go since Pokémon Go Fest 2020 came to an end. However, it looks like things are starting to pick with a few activities happening this weekend. There’s a new Pokémon joining Raid Battles and what appears to be two makeup events.

Before we look into the different activities, the team at Pokémon Go announced that new Gift stickers are set to arrive to the game. Once they do arrive, Trainers are going to get a wide range of Gift stickers that can express the depths of emotion for their friends.

Battle Raids

Starting tomorrow, be prepared to meet a Fire- and Steel-type Lava Dome Pokémon joining Raid Battles. It’s none other than Heatran. This Pokémon takes part in Raid Battles from August 21 at 4:00 PM EDT to September 10 at 4:00 EDT.

Be sure to get a team that has Water-types. Fighting-types, and Ground-types in order to get ahead of this Legendary Pokémon.

Featured Pokémon

From August 22 to August 23, Trainers around the world have the opportunity to vote on who is going to be the featured Pokémon for September and October's Community Days. You can read more about that here.

Makeup Events

There are two makeup events happening this week. One of these is the Ultra Unlock Dragon Week. Initially, this was set for July 31 to August 7 where everyone had a chance to encounter Dragon-type Pokémon of all shapes and sizes. However, because of technical issues, a global makeup event has been scheduled for August 21 at 8:00 AM to August 26 at 10:00 PM, local time.

During this particular makeup event, Trainers get to access new Timed Research. The tasks are going to be a bit different, though the rewards are the same as those for the original Dragon Week Timed Research. Other features of the Dragon Week event are not going to be active during this makeup event.

The other makeup event is only offered for Trainers located in Australia, New Zealand, and some parts of the Asia Pacific region. So what is this about? Well, it’s a makeup event for Pokémon Go Fest 2020. It’s going to be on Sunday, August 23 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, local time.

This isn’t actually the first time, as it was it was initially scheduled for August 16 due to technical issues during the original schedule. However, it was moved again due to another set of technical issues on August 16.

Take note that this makeup event is only available to players that have a Pokémon Go Fest 2020 ticket.

As you can see, there are indeed a lot of things happening. Which one are you looking forward to the most? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
