Patch 25.4.3 for Hearthstone introduces nerfs to some cards and it is mainly to address the effects of the big infusion of cards due to the release of the mini set. Among the targeted cards, the two nerfed are Construct Quarter and Goldshire Gnoll, both of which had their mana cost increased.
For Construct Quarter, the card now costs four mana instead of three. What happened was when the mini set was released, the best deck in Standard was the Frost Death Knight. The stand-out card in the deck, and even other Death Knight decks, was the Construct Quarter. According to the dev team, this change is to acknowledge the strongest deck in the format and the strongest card in that deck.
Meanwhile, Goldshire Gnoll now costs 11 mana from the previous 10. You see before the Frost Death Knight deck came to be, the biggest outlier in Standard was the Evolve Shaman deck. This nerf makes sure that Evolve Shaman is kept in line after the change done to Construct Quarter.
Other nerfs include:
- Grey Sage Parrot
- Old: Battlecry: Repeat the last spell you’ve cast that costs (5) or more.
- New: Battlecry: Repeat the last spell you’ve cast that costs (6) or more.
- Cataclysm
- Old: [4 Mana] Destroy all minions. Discard your hand.
- New: [5 Mana] Destroy all minions. Discard 2 cards.
Battlegrounds Update
With Patch 25.4.3, Battlegrounds see changes to the minion pool, particularly Sin’dorei Straight Shot now only appearing in games with Undead. Meanwhile, Archdruid Hamuul makes a temporary return to the minion pool but only until Patch 25.6.

- Old: 2 Attack, 4 Health. Avenge (1): Give a friendly minion of each minion type +2 Attack.
- New: 2 Attack, 5 Health. Avenge (2): Give a friendly minion of each minion type +3 Attack.
- Legion Overseer
- Old: 4 Attack, 4 Health.
- New: 4 Attack, 2 Health.
- Chronormu
- Old: [Tavern Tier 4] 4 Attack, 4 Health.
- New: [Tavern Tier 5] 6 Attack, 6 Health.
- Magmaloc
- Old: 3 Attack, 3 Health.
- New: 1 Attack, 1 Health.
- Vanessa VanCleef
- Old: 3 Attack, 7 Health.
- New: 3 Attack, 4 Health.
- Jelly Belly
- Old: 3 Attack, 5 Health.
- New: 3 Attack, 6 Health.
