Harry Potter: Wizards Unite announced that the Stronger United Brilliant Event Part 1 has been rescheduled to now begin on November 12 at 2:00 PM EST and end on November 19 at 2:00 PM EST. This event was originally scheduled to begin on November 7.
According to Niantic, the reason for the delay was to resolve ongoing issues related to update 2.6.0.
Update 2.6.0 was released last week and introduced new features like letting players take AR Photos with the Pixie Oddity. You can read more about that update here.
However after the update, players on both iOS and Android reported experiencing issues particualrly with accessing the in-game menus. This includes unresponsive buttons on the map view. While some players were able to fix the problem with the standard delete-and-reinstll method, this didn't work for everyone. Niantic has since revealed that it has fixed that issue. However, the developers remain working on other issues that came up as a result of the new update.
For Wizarding Challenge, Niantic turned on this new updated lobby countdown timer. What this does is that if players join a Chamber with other players, they can now tap Ready to let their teammates know they are ready to join the fight. However, this feature was found to be broken as of now, so it was turned off.
In a post on Reddit, Niantic also revealed that it has updated the game with these new additions:
- Registry
- Check out the new Registry page, Room of Requirement V, in the Legends of Hogwarts Family.
- This page includes the following new Foundables:
- Fred Weasley (Encounter)
- George Weasley (Encounter)
- Parvati Patil (Encounter)
- Angelina Johnson (Encounter)
- Dumbledore’s Army Sign-up Sheet (Wizarding Challenge Reward).
- Greenhouses
- Niantic has added back in Snowdrop and Bitterroot as potential rewards when you pull Ingredients from Greenhouses.
- General
- Dark Detectors are now going to increase the amount of higher-level (High, Severe, and Emergency) Traces you see when you place a Dark Detector at an Inn.
