Only one week to go for Halo 2. 343 Industries announced yesterday that Halo 2 will be coming to Steam on May 12. The game was in a beta state for a long time and now we'll finally get a proper launch. The announcement was made via the official Halo Twitter handle along with a small teaser trailer.

Halo 2 is the third game in the Master Chief Collection to be available on PC. MCC was announced for PC back in December 2019, however, only one game, Reach, was launched. After a couple of months, Halo Combat Evolved eventually made its way to Steam and now we will have Halo 2. Three down, three to go.

Halo 2 was released back in 2004 and was originally available for PC. However, the version of Halo 2 in the MCC is the remastered edition with improved graphics, audio, and an overall increase in features. Both Reach and Combat Evolved got the same treatment and received critical reception from fans.

As mentioned above, only three games are left, namely, Halo 3, ODST, and Halo 4. 343 Industries was also kind enough to release screenshots for the PC port for Halo 3 and ODST. You can check out our previous article about the screenshots. It will probably be a couple of months before we get these games up and running on PC.

You can purchase the entire Master Chief Collection on Steam for only $40. This is a really good deal because the MCC will give you over six Halo games once they are all available to play. You can purchase each game individually as well for only $10 each. You can also play Halo games on PC by subscribing to the Xbox Game Pass.

So what do you think? Are you excited about Halo 2? Have you purchased the Master Chief Collection yet or are you waiting for all games to release? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
