No, there's no news on the next GTA 5 DLC, but Rockstar did announce a new Double RP, Double Money week. The new Double RP and Money "Freemode Event Week" started Friday, Aug. 26, and will continue through Thursday, Sept. 1.

The GTA Online Freemode Events offers a wide spectrum of impromtu games to earn money from. The special Event Week also offers big discounts on select vehicles, vehicle mods, as well as weapons and accessories. Discounts include 25 percent off the Vapid FMJ. Upgrades for the Karin Sultan RS are 50 percent off at Benny's Original Motor Works. Car Bombs are also 50 percent off, while resprays are 25 percent off. For players that wish to restock their arsenal, SMG and Assault Rifles are 25 percent off at Ammu-Nation. Meanwhile, Body Armor and Pistols are 50 percent off. For that finishing touch, all Luxury Weapon Finishes from Ill-Gotten Gains and Executives and Other Criminals updates are 50 percent off.

The Freemode Event Week also delivers a new "Rally" Premium Stunt Race. Rally is a point-to-point sprint along Grand Senora and pays out GTA$100,000 for first, GTA$30,000 for second and GTA$20,000 for third. When the Rally race is set to sports vehicles only, then competitors will be awarded triple RP. But is Rally the answer to helping us make the most of the 2X RP and Money week?

Payouts for various Freemode events vary, but Criminal Damage usually yields exceptional payouts and is fun to boot. The most important feature that makes the current Freemode Event Week worthwhile is this:

Via GTA 5 YouTuber MrBossFTW, renowned tipster FunMW2 shared on the GTAForums that a change has been made to Freemode following the event week that enables a new event to appear every five minutes instead of 48. However, once the Event Week is over, then the new events will only appear every 30 minutes.

While there's not sure-fire event to capitalize payouts, it's clear that frequency makes quantity and players should better take advantage of the rapid pace of new Freemode Events this week.
