God of War Ragnarök is launching this November 9 and there's no question that it's one of the most highly anticipated games of the year. To up the excitement even further, Sony Interactive Entertainment launched a new campaign to support the upcoming release. Titled "All Parents Can Relate," it offers a humorous take on what could be the most relatable aspect when it comes to parenthood, and that is no parent gets it right all the time.

The campaign brings together an iconic cast composed of entertainment and sport personalities. These are LeBron and Bronny James, John and Ella Travolta, and Ben Stiller and his son Quin.

Before we spoil things, you can watch the video below:

In the game, as the threat of Ragnarök hovers over Kratos and his son Atreus, the duo must go on a journey to each of the Nine Realms looking for answers as Asgardian forces prepare for a battle that's set to end the world. Along the way, Kratos needs to learn when to hold on and when to let go of Atreus, the latter now a teenager and searching for his own identity.

The "All Parents Can Relate" campaign draws parallels to the game through this rather unexpected angle. That is, a group of individuals who know that everyone is a work in progress.

In a statement, SVP and Global Head of Marketing Sony Interactive Entertainment Eric Lempel shared that the campaign is playfully irreverent and represents a core principle of the PlayStation brand. He added that the different elements are able to work together and result in a piece of creative that’s not only unconventional and unexpected but also uniquely PlayStation.

Meanwhile, John Travolta revealed that he joined the campaign after consulting with his children and their friends. He added that upon learning it was the biggest game, he knew that he should “consider getting involved” and was glad that he did.

LeBron James talked about the experience working along with their children. According to LeBron, for both his son and him, the creative was a perfect fit for their personalities. He went on to say that being on the set with some of the most iconic actors was different than anything the two had done together. He added that it was “another proud dad moment” for him.

Finally, Stiller shared that he and his son tend to joke around a lot but haven’t acted together. They’re also basketball fans, he added, so it was great to improv with LeBron and Bronny.

God of War Ragnarök is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
