It’s almost July, which means it’s time to reveal the free games coming to Xbox Live Gold subscribers next month. While the past few months have included great games like Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed 3 and the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed games, July doesn’t quite have the same star power.

Xbox One

The first game coming to Xbox One for free in July is Grow Up. Players take on the role of a tiny robot named BUD who must explore a new planet by controlling how the various plants grow. It’s almost like a platformer where you must control both a character and the platforms themselves. Grow Up will be available to download for free from July 1 to July 31.

The second game coming to Xbox One is Runbow. This colorful party game is a free-for-all mad dash to the finish line, but watch out for the different waves of color that wash over each stage. If a wave of blue comes on screen, for example, anything that was blue will no longer exist. If a green wave then shows up, the blue objects will return and the green items will disappear. Runbow will be available from July 16 to Aug. 15.

Xbox 360

If you’re looking for a serious single-player experience in July, your best bet will be Kane And Lynch 2: Dog Days. This third-person shooter sees the titular Kane and Lynch teaming back up to pull “one last job.” You know it’ll be anything but easy. Kane And Lynch 2: Dog Days will be available to download from July 1 to July 15.

The last game coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers in July is LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean. Playing through the events of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, fans can expect not only some great Jack Sparrow antics, but also that classic brand of LEGO slapstick found in all the other plastic brick-filled games. LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean is free to download from July 16 to July 31.

So what do you think? Are you excited to play any of the games coming to Xbox Games With Gold in July? What games do you hope get included for August? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
