The Game of Thrones Season 6 finale is moving into very unfamiliar territory; it’s now well beyond the books and is mostly spared from confirmed Game of Thrones leaks and spoilers. In true Game of Thrones fashion, a week after the surprisingly gratifying “Battle of the Bastards,” expect “The Winds of Winter” to take a much darker turn.

Game of Thrones Season 6 episode 10 will be nearly 70 minutes long, which is the longest in the show’s history. Below, our Game of Thrones Season 6 finale preview will touch on the promo, leaks, spoilers and some predictions.

‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Finale Trailer, Promo

In the promo, which first aired after “Battle of the Bastards,” it looks like we’ll see most of the major characters and settings in the Season 6 finale. We see Cersei, Tommen and the High Sparrow in King’s Landing, Jon Snow, Davos and Melisandre likely arguing about Shireen in the North, Jaime and Walder dining together, as well as Daenerys and Tyrion in Meereen and Bran.

It wouldn’t be any Game of Thrones Season 6 finale preview without a little spoiler or two. Below we have some plot points from “The Winds of Winter” that come from a confirmed leak of Game of Thrones Season 6.

‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Finale Spoilers: A New King & A Show-Changing Flashback

So the Game of Thrones Season 6 spoilers on the deleted reddit post have largely been true with the big exception of the fate of Wun Wun (R.I.P.) but truede’s Game of Thrones Season 6 finale spoilers should be taken as close to 100 percent as possible.

We will see Bran in the Season 6 finale and it appears we will finally get to see what’s in the Tower of Joy.

“Bran will have one more 'flashback' in the finale and we will see what's in the Tower,” the deleted reddit thread said. “we see Lyanna Stark … Lyanna whispers something to Ned before she dies. We then see a baby, and the very next scene we see Jon.”

So does that confirm R+L=J ? We’re not sure, but do expect to see a young Ned Yost helping Lyanna Stark with a certain baby in “The Winds of Winter.”

While no context was given the Game of Thrones Season 6 finale spoilers confirm Tommen will jump to his death. It’s likely either the results of the trial involving Cersei or some wildfire will lead to his demise. Also in King’s Landing, the deleted reddit thread said the Mountain will “have his way with Septa Unella.”

Other Game of Thrones Season 6 finale spoilers and leaks include the North uniting around Jon Snow, unspecified (but major) character deaths and a return to Dorne. “Yes lots of major characters die,” the spoilers said. “Mostly in the finale.”

It also appears that the awesome Lady Lyanna Mormont is a main reason the North sides with Jon Snow and the Starks.

“Jon does become King of the North,” truede’s Game of Thrones Season 6 finale spoilers said . “This is after the teen girl who is head of some house (with like 60 soldiers) speaks up about how she trusts the Starks and was one of the only ones to follow them into battle. Then the other houses speak up and apologize about not following them and they don't care that he is a bastard.”

Without context the “Winds of Winter” spoilers also say we’ll be heading to Dorne, at least briefly, in the Season 6 finale. Now, the Game of Thrones Season 6 finale spoilers above don’t include nearly all of episode 10, so let’s dive into some predictions.

‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Finale Predictions: Walder Frey, Wildfire & A Meeting in Dorne

With the handful of Game of Thrones Season 6 finale spoilers above, along with promo and previous events in the show, we have some educated “Winds of Winter” predictions. First, there is likely to be more than just Tommen’s blood spilled in King’s Landing. We foresee many deaths in the likely event that Cersei sets the city on fire with some secretly stored Wildfire. This scene has been foreshadowed in Bran’s vision, lines about Cersei burning cities to ashes to protect her children and with Qyburn likely letting Cersei know the Mad King’s secret Wildfire stash exists. The chaos that will ensue following the Faith’s trial will probably lead to the deaths of Loras, Tommen, Margaery, Septa Unella and maybe even Cersei.

How “successful” Cersei is in her plan to burn King’s Landing will depend on whether Jaime Lannister makes it back to the city in the Season 6 finale. Based on the promo and preview photos we know Jaime and Walder Frey meet and celebrate with a toast. Anticipate this reunion to not go as planned. This meetup would be the perfect time for Arya to put to use her skills she learned from the Many Faced God and cross a few more people off her list, Red Wedding style.

Since we know we’ll see Dorne this episode, it begs the question: what’s next for the Sand Snakes? Well, remember a few episodes ago when Varys went on a secret mission? Expect him to show up in Meereen, where he will likely try to unite Dorne with Daenerys against their common enemy: the Lannisters. Don’t be shocked if Olenna Tyrell makes an appearance there as well.

There will likely be a lot in the Game of Thrones Season 6 finale that isn’t spoiled or predicted but there is a good chance we know how the episode ends. With only 13 episodes left in the series, it would be a surprise if we don’t see Daenerys finally setting sail for Westeros. Also, if the “Winds of Winter” are really coming, we might see the White Walkers approach the wall as we wait for the long war that we’re likely to get in Game of Thrones Season 7 and 8.

Game of Thrones Season 6 episode 10 “Winds of Winter” airs at 9 p.m. EDT Sunday on HBO.
