The Microsoft E3 2017 press conference dropped not one, not two, but three major news for Forza Motorsport fans today. First, Microsoft announced the new Xbox One X console, which will boast native 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. It's a powerful new gaming system and it will be the perfect console for gamers to experience the next Forza title – Forza Motorsport 7.

But not only will Forza 7 run in stunning 4K HD, but it will also be the very first title in the franchise to feature dynamic weather change. But don't mistake the new feature for rain and day/night modes from Forza 6 – the weather will actually change in real time during races. As puddles form on the track surface and tire grip changes lap after lap, players will have to respond and adjust their driving style to finish the race.

Other features coming to Forza Motorsport 7 include a giant roster of 700 vehicles; 30 tracks and locations, including Dubai, for more than 200 track layouts. What's more, Mugello circuit is also making its return from its hiatus since Forza Motorsport 4.

Oh, did we mention there were three major announcements? Forza is bringing back Porsche to the franchise. With it is a big announcement from the Stuttgart factory: the brand-new 911 GT2 RS. With a 3.8 liter twin-turbo engine, the GT2 RS boasts 700 horsepower to make it the most powerful road-going Porsche 911 ever made.

We're dying to play this game and dying to drive that Porsche. Stay tuned as we learn more about Forza 7 in the months ahead. Forza Motorsport 7 arrives Oct. 3.
