A new update has been released for Forza Horizon 5 which introduces a truly interesting feature. The Series 5 Update has added the American Sign Language (ASL) and British Sign Language (BSL) support for cinematics. How cool is that?

In a post, the team revealed that over the years, the Forza games have been recognized for offering accessibility features, which become advanced per game release. In fact, Forza Horizon 5 has been recognized for its excellent and innovative accessibility.

With this new update, ASL and BSL are now available in the Accessibility menu. They work via a picture-in-picture display of an ASL interpreter (or a BSL interpreter) during the cinematics. Not only that, but players can also choose where the interpreter appears on-screen and adjust the background.

Fixes and Updates

Below are the improvements brought by a new update:

  • Festival Playlist
    • The update retroactively applies points for bugged Daily Challenges and Treasure Hunt events in Series 1 and Series 2.
    • It also unlocks the “Min, Meet Max” achievement for those who had completed all other events and challenges within a series.
  • Horizon Tour
    • The update fixes an issue where the Horizon Tour would automatically mark itself as completed on the Festival Playlist, which caused a points deduction on past Series.
  • Headlights
    • Car headlights now function correctly in online races. This is handy, especially for those close night-time battles.
  • Livery Editor
    • The layer UI has been reworked to make sure that the layers are displayed and that the numbers don’t obfuscate the layer data.
  • Photo Mode
    • The issue which caused time-of-day to unintentionally progress after entering Photo Mode has been fixed.
  • Traffic
    • Improvements have been made to civilian traffic synchronization. It includes fixes for traffic vehicles not appearing in Street Races and in Horizon Life after online races.

EventLab

Season 5 gives EventLab creators a larger prop selection. In particular, seasonal props released in previous series updates have been added to the Blueprint Builder. These include the holiday decorations, trees and snowmen of Series 2, and the party decorations of Series 5.

In addition, when editing EventLab routes, there is now the ability to start editing from the start line instead of the first placed checkpoint. Plus, a fix for the issue where EventLab creations at Playground Games locations – such as the Horizon Stadium – would ignore collision settings.

Forza Horizon 5 is available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
