Forspoken Patch 1.20 Prepares Game for Upcoming Expansion, Changelog Here

Forspoken Patch 1.20 Square Enix

Forspoken may have received a lukewarm reception from fans and critics, but the developer is still adamant in supporting the game. The previously announced expansion, In Tanta We Trust, is still on for its May 26 release, though players who purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition can play it starting today.

Along with the expansion, the developer released a free update for every owner of the game. Patch 1.20 brings highly-demanded features, a new difficulty, and quality-of-life improvements, and also prepares the game for the said DLC.

Curiosity Shop can now be used as a fast travel destination, and a new "Very Hard" difficulty is introduced. The pacing of some event scenes in the earlier chapters is adjusted, and the Support Spell icon in the magic HUD now reveals the charge state of each spell. The banter between Frey and Cuff is adjusted as well.

Feature Updates

  • Adjusted the frequency and content of the banter between Frey and Cuff that plays during open world activities.
  • Adjusted the pacing of certain event scenes in the earlier chapters.
  • Adjusted the length of certain animations that play upon clearing quests or when Frey earns experience. Additionally, these animations can now be skipped.

    • The damage and probability of knocking down the target enemy will increase based on the amount of stamina consumed.

  • New "Revivifier" consumable. When possessing this item, players will be able to resuscitate Frey when she runs out of health.
