Five Nights At Freddy’s fans have been enthralled by last week’s leak of the “Freakshow Baby” teaser, and one of its illustrators has started talking about it. Szigetvári “LadyFiszi” Emese took to the game’s official subreddit to reveal how she became involved with the picture.

While the source posts have since been deleted, they were screencapped by community member ImSmaher. Here’s what they say:

  • “It’s 100 percent [Scott Cawthon’s] design.”
  • “I only saw the silhouette of the character, and I also don’t know her name!”
  • “The background was made by me, by Scott’s instructions. He said to add some graffiti, maybe a circus, and I added the clown. :)”

These brief teases don’t reveal the critical details fans are dying to know about this image, but there are a few things we can infer. In contrast to the Twisted Ones teasers, which Scott let Emese handle mostly on her own, this one was penned in secret by the franchise creator himself, lending an added layer of importance when it comes to this particular creation. Given her role in book designs in the past, Cawthon probably would’ve been more transparent if this project were tied to a future novel.

To us, the additional security measures imply that this Baby teaser deals with something significantly more important. To Five Nights At Freddy’s fans, that almost assuredly confirms the picture’s relevance to an unannounced sixth game. While it could be tied to the project Scott has since “canceled,” it seems unlikely that this evidence would be published in a mass-market book if it weren’t intended for use at a later date. In the absence of an official announcement from the man behind the scenes, Five Nights At Freddy’s 6 has seemingly been revealed. The only question to ask now is when this highly anticipated game will release.

Beyond that assurance, one key detail worth noting is Scott’s recommendation to add a circus to the teaser’s background. In the earliest teasers for last year’s Sister Location game, references were made to a location called Circus Baby’s Pizza World. We never actually caught a glimpse of that establishment in the narrative, so maybe that’s where players will be be headed next.

For those who missed the news, the Freakshow Baby teaser leaked late last week when one Five Nights At Freddy’s fan received an early copy of the Freddy Files book. The image was promptly featured in a section of the book focused on the series’ future. The new Baby variation currently has no name, but she’s a massive mess of wires, and wields a huge, nasty claw. Scott followed up the leak by posting an eight-bit Freddy teaser of his own.

Prior to ceasing production on a Five Nights At Freddy’s game in June, Cawthon had been teasing a brand new project focused on Baby’s revenge against her former Funtime pals from Sister Location. She vowed to put herself back together, and this new teaser suggests she’s done so in a pretty horrific way.

You can see the teaser for yourself when The Freddy Files releases Aug. 29 in Kindle and ebook formats.
