Shadowbringers is the third major expansion pack of Final Fantasy 14, and was released just last month. In order to allow players to return and experience this highly acclaimed MMORPG, Square Enix is offering the game for free until August 16. Players that have been inactive for at least 30 days can log into their game account and use the opportunity to reconnect with friends, enjoy ongoing seasonal events, or upgrade to the Shadowbringers expansion pack.
In order to be eligible for the free login, players need to meet these conditions:
- Users need to have previously purchased and registered Final Fantasy 14
- All registered service accounts are set as inactive during the campaign period
- Registered service account must have been inactive for at least thirty days

Aside from the free login campaign, this also marks this year’s Moonfire Faire seasonal event. Players that are at least level 30 or higher are invited to celebrate summer festivities through Monday, August 26. A variety of challenges await participants, who can obtain a number of time-limited seasonal equipment and housing items. Players new to Final Fantasy 14 Online can download a free trial and get the chance to access content up to level three. Players can also create up to eight playable characters and experience the different playable races, classes, and jobs with no restrictions on playtime.
