Fallout 76 to Add Two New Perks and Tweak the Workbench

New changes are coming. Bethesda

Bethesda announced that it has reopened the Public Test Server for Fallout 76 to give everyone a peek at the upcoming improvements. For this round of changes, it's divided into three sections - what was added, what was changed, and what was fixed.

Two New Perks

One of the new features players can expect is the two perks. The first is Arms Keeper which lowers the weight of rifled by either 25%, 50%, or 75%. This should be good news to those who don't want to get penalties when they exceed the carry weight.

The second is Stable Tools which add automatic melee weapon durability bonus of 10%, 15%, and 20%. This means that automatic melee weapons break slower by the percentage assigned.

New Game Additions

Players now get the chance to start at level 20. If they do, they will get starter weapons, ammo, armor, perk packs, various survival supplies, and pre-filled loadouts. Other are:

  • A donation box is placed outside of Vault 76 for players to help one another.
  • There are now level 10 versions of T-45 and Raider Power Armor.
  • A "New" filter has been added when viewing Perk Cards.
  • A warning is now given to players who are below level 50 and try to enter Daily Ops.

Workbench Changes

  • Show unlockable button now shows recipes players can learn through a plan, scrapping, or can purchase in the Atomic Shop.
  • Unlearned recipes show the name of the plan players need, what item to scrap, or lets them buy it from the store.
  • One-star legendary mods no longer show up under "Random Legendary Mods." Two- and three-star mods now display correctly under "Current Mods" when inspecting an item.
  • Improved the learned mod counter.

Design Changes

  • The level requirements for Various Perk cards have been lowered.
  • More default C.A.M.P. recipes for all players are added.
  • Lowered the frequency of enemy attacks on the player's C.A.M.P.
  • Reduced the amount of pop-up information upon exiting the Vault.
  • Increase Aid items in low-level quest rewards and challenges.
