Fall Guys, the free-to-play game by Mediatonic, received a small update yesterday. The patch doesn’t bring any new content, but it is heavy on bug squashing and game improvements.

The issue where emotes won’t save correctly in the settings menu has finally been addressed. Broken arrow shadows in Slippy Slide are fixed and Slippy Slide hoops now feature correct VFX. The propeller obstacle in Slide Chute is colored so that it’s more visible.

The auto newsfeed display is re-enabled, and players who collide with the tentacle attack will now be affected by it. You can read the complete patch notes below.

Fixes and Improvements
  • Fixed emotes saving correctly in settings menu
  • Fixed players releasing the trapeze right after grabbing it
  • Tentacles now hit any player that has collided with the Tentacle attack
  • Enabled ‘Recentre Camera’ in Blast Ball Fixed the slime looking pixelated on Nintendo Switch
  • Fixed broken arrow shadows in Slippy Slide
  • Correct VFX now plays on Slippy Slide hoops
  • Slippy Slide performance improved by removing logging for localized strings
  • Slide Chute - Recoloured the propeller obstacle for visibility
  • Fixed and re-enabled the auto newsfeed display
  • Fixed an issue that would sometimes cause collectibles to appear as a white box on the UI
  • Fixed a bug with Season Pass purchase popups having the wrong name
  • Duo packs as part of a kit can now be purchased in order
  • Fixed issue with some images not loading in the overlay for Collectibles
  • Fixed the quality of the sky box for Nintendo Switch on new rounds
  • Fixed a lighting issue in Lily Leapers causing shadow across round
  • Fixed SFX triggers when tiles fall into water

Fall Guys is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Epic Games Store), and Nintendo Switch for free, though the game does feature microtransactions. A mobile port for iOS and Android is planned as well.
