Evil Geniuses announced that it has been acquired by PEAK6 Investments LLC. This is a result of months of dedication and hard work. Based in Chicago, PEAK6 is an investment and technology company with a strong background in working across multiple industries.

According to EG COO Phillip Aram, since the organization divested from Twitch back in 2016, they have continued to work "tirelessly to maintain the legacy of excellence and trust that we’ve built up over years of competition." Aram believes that PEAK6 has these same values, making them the right partner.

As part of this big change, Nicole LaPointe Jameson has been appointed as EG's new CEO. EG shared that Jameson is truly a perfect fit for the organization given her "passion for gaming and esports, along with her knowledge of our business."

Both Aram and Jameson are scheduled to have an AMA on EG's Reddit tomorrow, May 30, at 3:00 p.m. EST.

Partnership with Razer

Last week, EG revealed that it entered into a new two-year partnership with Rzaer. This will be the second time the two have entered into a partnership, after the first partnership from 2013 to 2015. Under this latest agreement, EG is expected to make use of esports-grade peripherals from Razer, not only during training, but also at tournaments. These include, among many others, headsets, keyboards, mice, and mouse mats.

COO Aram said that this partnership brings with it incredible value. The high performance gaming devices from Razer have long been known to be top-tier, and this is sure to give EG's players "a new performance edge," he added in a press statement.

Razer Global Director of Esports David Tse shared that they are proud to be a partner of EG. He related that Razer has always been inspired by the commitment and passion that EG has shown, and that this "partnership will be fueled by the best of esports technology and skills."

EG is one of the oldest professional gaming organizations in North America, with a presence in many competitive scenes. It has teams in games like Smash Bros., Street Fighter V, Rocket League, Fortnite, Call of Duty, and Dota 2.
