It's that time of the year again when players in The Elder Scrolls Online can show off their PvP skills. The Whitestrake’s Mayhem in-game event is back starting today, July 28, and runs until August 9. For the duration of the event, players enjoy bonuses to their Alliance Point and XP gains; this is in addition to getting those in-game rewards.

Whitestrake's Mayhem, previously known as Midyear Mayhem, is a holiday event that celebrates the victory of Pelinal Whitestrake against the Ayleids in the conflict called Pelinal's Midyear Massacre.

If you're new to the game, here's how you can join the fight:

  • Visit the in-game Crown Store to get the "Details on the Whitestrake’s Mayhem" quest.
  • Travel to your Alliance War faction's main gate in Cyrodiil using the Alliance War menu or a Battlegrounds camp outside major cities.
    • You're not required to travel to Cyrodiil to start the event.
  • Look for the NPC named “Predicant Maera" and continue the quest.
    • For those who already completed the quest last year, there's no need to do this again.
  • Complete the quest to receive the Scroll of Pelinal's Ferocity and a Pelinal's Boon Box.
  • Use the scroll to enjoy a two-hour, 100% buff in the Alliance War, Imperial City, and Battlegrounds to:
    • Alliance Points gained
    • XP gains for PvP player kills

The Scroll of Pelinal’s Ferocity can be used throughout the entirety of Whitestrake’s Mayhem. Players who misplace the scroll can return to Predicant Maera to get another one or use the Basin of the Gore Virtuous. Just remember that the Scroll of Pelinal's Ferocity is an inventory item, not a Memento/Tool.

Special Loot

These are the event-specific loot that can be earned in Whitestrake’s Mayhem:

  • House Dufort Banneret Outfit Styles
    • Dropped by Imperial City sweepers and bosses.
  • Battle-Scarred Body and Face Markings

  • Black Drake Clanwrap Armor Pack
    • Dropped by Imperial City sweepers and bosses.
